Never attempt any skill without proper professional instruction, appropriate equipment, qualified spotting, and adequate physical preparation. Acro Index is not a substitute for qualified coaching.
1. Professional Supervision
- Always train under the supervision of a qualified, certified coach
- Ensure your coach is certified by a recognized gymnastics organization
- Never practice advanced skills alone
2. Proper Equipment
- Only train on appropriate, well-maintained gymnastics equipment
- Use adequate matting and landing surfaces
- Use foam pits and resi-pits when learning new skills
- Wear appropriate attire that won't catch on equipment
3. Physical Preparation
- Always warm up thoroughly before training
- Develop proper conditioning before attempting advanced skills
- Follow proper progressions - don't skip steps
- Listen to your body and rest when fatigued
4. Injury Prevention & Response
- Stop immediately if you experience pain
- Seek medical attention for injuries before returning to training
- Train at a facility with proper first aid and emergency procedures
- Follow medical professional's advice for recovery
